At 5 p.m. in Tokyo on September 24, adidas Japan put all four Arte Antwerp F50s online at once, the silver KI4142 included, each at ¥25,300.

adidas Japan’s online store opened its Arte Antwerp F50 release at 17:00 JST on September 24, and it brought the whole family at once: the white and black F50 Motion pairs (KK3245 and KK3246), the glossy black Feather Patent Leather (HQ3324), and the tonal silver pair carrying style code KI4142. All four sit at the same ¥25,300 tax-inclusive price, per a Japan market rel notice that has tracked the capsule since its first Japanese store drops in August.

The silver pair has technically been in Tokyo for weeks. NUBIAN began selling KI4142 on August 30 in a narrow men’s run from 26 to 29 cm (US 8 to 11), and by the eve of the adidas launch its listing showed a single size left. September 24 is the first time the silver colorway arrives through adidas’s own Japanese storefront rather than a handful of select accounts.

embossed logo “arte” on the tongue, with match silver lace

Signal. What happened: adidas Japan released all four Arte Antwerp F50 colorways online on September 24, 2026 at 17:00 JST. Exact object: Arte Antwerp x adidas F50 “Silver Metallic,” style code KI4142, finished Silver Metallic/Silver Metallic/Silver Metallic, ¥25,300. When and where: adidas Japan online from September 24, following earlier Japanese available at NUBIAN from August 30. Source: a Japan market rel notice, cross-checked against NUBIAN’s live product listing and Kith Europe’s product page. Why it matters: it is the first full Japanese rollout of the partnership’s F50 program through adidas directly, and silver is the one colorway that ties the lifestyle shoe to the Arte F50 Hyperfast boot that has since appeared on a Champions League training pitch.

In Japan, this pair has been circulating under the “Feather Patent Leather” name, the same wording attached to the black HQ3324 that dropped on September 10. The retailers actually holding stock describe something else. NUBIAN lists a crinkled nylon upper with silicone-printed Three Stripes and logos over a lightweight “feather” construction, while Kith Europe files the same style code as an F50 Motion in Silver/Chrome with a synthetic upper. Arte Antwerp’s own product copy for the crinkle nylon version uses matching lang: silicone-printed stripes, feather construction, production in Vietnam, and a design brief rooted in the global football tournament.

Whatever the label, the build follows the rest of the capsule. Perforated Three Stripes run along the sidewall for ventilation, a mesh tongue takes slim round laces through TPU eyelets, and branding stays deliberately small: “a ARTE” and “F50” at the toe, an “arte” stamp on the tongue, a Trefoil on the heel. The midsole keeps a noticeably high heel-to-forefoot drop, a holdover from the boot’s sprint-first origins, and everything from lace to outsole stays tone on tone. In silver, that monochrome approach reads less like a sneaker than a single poured object.

The F50 was adidas’s speed boot long before it became a lifestyle canvas. adidas introduced the original range just ahead of Euro 2004, and the line ran through the F50 Tunit and F50 adizero eras before adidas retired it in 2015 in a wider reshuffle toward its ACE and X lines, according to SoccerBible. Its most replayed moment belongs to Lionel Messi, who kissed his F50 after scoring the winner in the 2009 Champions League final.

The comeback began in May 2024 with the purple “Fast Reborn” pack, a twentieth-anniversary tribute to the Chameleon colorway Messi wore at the 2010 World Cup, per Versus. Since then the sil has spun off into street shoes, and adidas has handed it to outside names at a steady clip, with Bad Bunny’s F50 Ghost Sprint among the higher-profile examples.

Arte Antwerp was founded in 2009 by Bertony Da Silva and grew from a graphic Tell line into a Belgian label shaped by art, architecture and graphic design. The label’s reach has grown well beyond its home city. Arte runs a permanent store on Brussels’ Dansaertstraat, reported by ELLE Belgium as its first outside Antwerp, holds a space inside La Samaritaine on Paris’s Rue de la Monnaie, and has partnered with Antwerp Art Weekend since 2018. That gallery-circuit fluency shows up in how the brand handles sportswear: fewer graphics, more attention to surface and proportion.

Its adidas relationship is young and counts the F50 Motion as the fourth flow rel, follow a zip-covered Lightblaze in 2025, a stripped-back Trivela in 2026, and the patent leather F50.

The shoes sit inside Arte’s Autumn/Winter 2026 “Arte for adidas Sportswear” range, which also carries a jersey, shorts and Z.N.E. track pieces. Arte’s US site currently lists the crinkle nylon F50 at $215, above the $180 figure reported at the Motion’s August launch. In Japan the number holds flat at ¥25,300 across all four pairs, and the rollout has been staggered: the white and black Motion pairs first reached Japanese select stores on August 8, silver followed at NUBIAN on August 30, patent black landed on September 10, and adidas’s own store gathered all of them on September 24.

The silver idea did not stay off the pitch for long. On September 11, a silver and dark navy F50 Hyperfast with Arte script across the lateral side was officially revealed after Rayan Cherki wore it in Manchester City training, its palette drawn from the Champions League trophy, according to Footy Headlines. An adidas representative has since described that boot as a friends and family exclusive with no public sale, which leaves KI4142 as the only silver Arte F50 on general release.
