Public Works (Jacob Dietrich, the New Jersey guy behind the Midwest emo / East Coast emo-folk project) has been teasing “COORS” heavily since early 2026. It’s currently available for presave and was slated for an April 2026 release. As of early June 2026, it looks like it’s either freshly out or very recent.
stir
- It’s a high-energy live staple — crowds already know the words if they’ve seen him.
- Fits perfectly in his signature style: raw, shouty Midwest emo with punk energy, sarcastic/self-deprecating lyrics, and that distinctive raspy, passionate vocal delivery.
- Themes seem to lean into the usual Public Works wheelhouse — messy life, relationships, maybe some drinking/party vibes (given the beer name), with that mix of funny and genuinely heartfelt.
flow
If you like his other tracks like “Drywall”, “Long Island”, “Cheat Codes”, or “White Knuckle”, you’ll probably love this. Think:
- Early 2010s Midwest emo revival (think Modern Baseball, The Wonder Years, or Mom Jeans energy)
- But with his unique New Jersey twist and folk-punk edge
His bio says it all: “i used to smoke crack and now i don’t. i like to make the music i want to make. eastcoast emo folk alt indie rock or whatever.”

Live footage shows it gets the room moving — people singing along, moshing lightly, the full emo experience. Fans who’ve seen it live call it a highlight of the set.
Bottom line: If you’re already into Public Works, presave / stream this immediately when it drops (or if it’s already out, go listen). It sounds like another banger in his rapidly growing catalog. He’s one of the most exciting underground emo/indie voices right now — very DIY, very real, and consistently putting out strong material.
