DRIFT

There’s a music producer whose tracks have been viewed over 700 billion times on TikTok, yet most people don’t know his name. That’s Tollan Kim.

The Brazilian-born, South Korea-based artist became a quiet phenomenon in 2022 with the track “Aesthetic” (made with kudasaibeats). It exploded as the unofficial soundtrack for millions of TikTok videos — from cozy study sessions and slow morning routines to cooking clips and self-care montages. The dreamy piano, soft lo-fi beats, and warm atmosphere perfectly captured the “aesthetic” lifestyle trend, racking up over 10–23 million video uses.

After two years of relative silence, Tollan Kim is back. On May 8, 2026, he released his new 21-track album, “Tired at 21.” The title reflects the quiet exhaustion many feel in their early twenties — the pressure of sudden success, digital noise, and growing up in public.

Unlike many creators who chase constant virality, Tollan has always preferred staying low-profile. He rarely shows his face, avoids flashy interviews, and keeps his social media focused on the music and a simple message: “When in doubt, be kind.” This humility has earned him a loyal, almost protective fanbase that values the calm his music provides.

The album marks a thoughtful evolution. While it retains the signature gentle lo-fi and chill beats that made him famous, it feels more personal and refined. Lead single “Garden Aesthetic” builds on his classic sound with richer melodies and subtle new textures. Across the 21 tracks, listeners will find themes of tiredness, renewal, quiet hope, and everyday beauty.

The project was created with full creative control, showing Tollan’s growth from viral beatmaker to a more intentional artist. Reviewers praise its consistency, emotional depth, and lack of filler. It’s music made for late-night drives, focused work, rainy days, or simply unwinding after a long day.

Tollan’s goal remains the same: to create music that helps people relax and feel a little happier. In a noisy world obsessed with attention, his soft, healing instrumentals continue to stand out by offering comfort instead of stimulation.

why

Tollan Kim helped define “Aesthetic Music” — a genre sitting between lo-fi hip-hop, chillhop, and ambient relaxation. His work proves that sometimes the most impactful art is the one playing quietly in the background, soundtracking real life rather than demanding the spotlight.

Stream “Tired at 21” now on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and more. Follow him on TikTok and Instagram @tollankim for new updates.

In the end, Tollan Kim reminds us that you don’t need to be loud to leave a massive mark. Sometimes the softest sounds create the deepest impact.
