NAV and Young Thug Keep Their 2026 Streak Alive on Wheezy’s “WOAH”

Their second reunion of the year drops a week after Young Thug’s own Slime Language 3, with the pair now touring together nightly.

NAV and Young Thug rel “WOAH” this month, produced entirely by Wheezy, marking the pair’s second link of 2026 after February’s “Trimski”. That single was billed at the time as their first connection in over five years, and it shh performed well, pulling in close to 10 million Spotify streams despite limited fanfare. The two go back further than that one gap suggests: Young Thug was among the first major artists to cosign NAV, back in the Perfect Timing era, and the two have since traded verses on “Boy Back,” “Spend It,” “No Debate,” and “Repercussions,” the last of those pulled from NAV’s 2020 mixtape Emergency Tsunami.

Where “Trimski” built its hook out of Atlanta and Toronto slang, “WOAH” trades the wordplay for a tighter, harder verse trade, with both rappers staying close to Wheezy’s clipped low end rather than reaching for a gimmick. Ratings Game Music gave the single 3.5 out of 5 stars, calling Young Thug’s verse confident and aggressive against Wheezy’s beat and credit NAV with a cool, relentless follow-up show, while noting that the production and subject matter stay within territory both artists have worked before. The Wheezy credit is not a new pairing. The Mississippi-born, Atlanta-based producer built NAV’s entire 2020 mixtape Emergency Tsunami start to finish, which featured Young Thug alongside Gunna, Lil Baby, Lil Keed, and SahBabii, and he has served as an executive producer across Young Thug-affiliated projects, including Gunna’s Drip or Drown 2 and Wunna, after solely producing Gunna’s debut EP, Drip or Drown, in 2017. His catalog beyond that circle includes Lil Baby’s “Yes Indeed” and Meek Mill’s “Going Bad,” two of the bigger Billboard Hot 100 placements of his career. That history gives “WOAH” a different texture than a one-off industry pairing, closer to three familiar collaborators returning to a sound they already built together five years ago.

The single arrives as NAV and Young Thug share a stage nightly on The New Generation Tour, Young Thug’s first headlining run since 2019, which kicked off September 1 in Rogers, Arkansas, and follows his Coachella set earlier this year. The bill also introduces a run of newer Young Stoner Life signees before the routing crosses into Europe in October, with stops in Amsterdam, Germany, and Poland ahead of a closing date at Paris’s Adidas Arena. “WOAH” also follows, by about a week, the release of Young Thug and Young Stoner Life’s Slime Language 3, and lands as NAV continues work toward his sixth studio album, the follow-up to 2025’s OMW2 Rexdale.

Neither camp has said whether “WOAH” is attached to a forthcoming project from either artist, and no music video had been announced for the single as of publication. For now, it plays as a tour-cycle drop meant to keep momentum going between stops rather than a lead single with a rollout built around it.
