Sorel released AMBLER MULE WP in Japan on Friday 4 September 2026. Ticket ¥22,000 including tax. The last is a unisex clog that borrows the graphic memory of the Caribou boot and throws away the shaft. Waterproof full-grain leather and waterproof nubuck on the upper. Textile lining. Removable molded EVA footbed described as PU-like in rebound and durability, textile covered. Outsole is synthetic foam POE, high-rebound, listed as close to EVA. Heel height 35 mm.
Men’s sizes 25.0 cm to 29.0 cm. Women’s 22.5 cm to 26.0 cm. Tincture: 010 Black Dark Stone, 263 Caribou Buff Black, 011 Black Utility Green (men’s limited), 222 Iced Tea Black (women’s limited). Sorel started in Canada in 1962. Caribou is the icon that sold felt and rubber to people who needed a shaft. Ambler Mule WP keeps the family face (the last’s front mass, the hardware language if the sample carries it) and deletes the part that made Caribou a boot. What you stand in is a clog. What you pay for is hide that is specified waterproof plus a foam platform that is specified springy.
Full-grain and nubuck both get the waterproof tag. That is not a diving certificate. It is a street claim: puddle, wet pavement, autumn rain. Textile lining will wet out if you stand in a stream. The removable EVA bed is the comfort argument and the maintenance argument. You can lift it. You can replace it. You can watch it pack down.
POE foam is the outsole. High rebound, EVA-adjacent. Thirty-five millimeters is a fashion lift, not a logger heel. Wet station tile will still glaze that foam. A mule with no listed heel strap holds with last shape and footbed friction. The published object is open at the back.

010 Black Dark Stone is the default black stack. 263 Caribou Buff Black is the boot tan pulled onto the mule so the family resemblance is color, not shaft. 011 Black Utility Green is locked to men’s lengths. 222 Iced Tea Black is locked to women’s lengths. Limited here is a gender door on a hue, not a numbered drop unless a shop prints a cap.
Green and iced tea will leave the lookbook first. Black and buff will leave the size run first. Mid lengths in both open tincture are the ones that vanish on a Friday clog.
¥22,000 sits above a garden foam mule and below a full Caribou. That gap is the product. You are buying sealed leather on a last you can kick toward the genkan. You are not buying a winter boot. Treat the waterproof line as rain, not slush up to the knee.
