Unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2025 in Geneva, this timepiece sets a new world record as the thinnest tourbillon watch ever created, measuring an astonishing 1.85mm in total thickness.

Bvlgari’s journey into ultra-thin horology began in 2014 with the launch of the Octo Finissimo Tourbillon, which featured a movement thickness of just 1.95mm. This pioneering spirit continued with subsequent releases, including the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater in 2016 and the Octo Finissimo Perpetual Calendar in 2021.

Each of these timepieces set new benchmarks in the industry, showcasing Bvlgari’s commitment to pushing the limits of watchmaking. 

Engineering the Ultra-Thin Marvel

Achieving the remarkable thinness of the Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon required innovative engineering solutions. The watch integrates the caseback as the main plate, a design choice that allows for the housing of the BVF 900 caliber movement within the slender profile. This manual-winding movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 42-hour power reserve.

The skeletonized design not only contributes to the watch’s lightweight structure but also enhances the visual appreciation of its intricate mechanics. 

Materials and Aesthetics

The Octo Finissimo Ultra Tourbillon boasts a 40mm case crafted from sandblasted titanium, complemented by a tungsten carbide mainplate. This combination ensures both durability and a sleek, modern aesthetic.

The integrated titanium bracelet maintains the watch’s ultra-thin profile, measuring just 1.5mm in thickness, and features a concealed folding clasp for seamless wearability.
