The Drake sample is the problem every next project has to live next to. Some listeners will only hear the aftertaste of No Guidance. It sounds adjacent because he is not chasing a radio record. He is extending a pocket. Ghosts, pain packs, cold rooms, then this. Short albums as a method, not a drought.
Dramatic Girl (the Baby Keem feature) and XTC still sit above Leather Stitch on the popular list in the first week. That is catalog gravity. Ecru Without U is the artist pick on Spotify the week of release. Summer Vol. 67 already came in 2026. He does not wait for a rollout year.

The craft charge is real and limited. Saddle stitch already happened in actual leather shops. What he is selling in 2026 is that image with a cleaner bounce and a bigger catalog. Two needles through one hole is not a new idea. He just named a song after it, in the key his page already likes.
No Guidance paid the rent. Leather Stitch names the join. Ecru Without U is the folder those two facts now share.
