Jacquemus dresses the Nike Moon Shoe in ostrich-leather emerald over icy blue, its most vivid colorway yet, with the release date still unsettled.

The upper is a pale, crinkled nylon in the color of glacier runoff. The Swoosh is ostrich-leather green, embossed and glossy, run the length of a shape that has nothing to do with perform run anymore. This is HV8547-300, the newest colorway in Jacquemus‘s ongoing rework of the Nike Moon Shoe, and it goes by a name, Emerald Rise, that undersells just how much blue is actually built into the shoe. Jacquemus revealed it in July, and a month later, it’s confirmed a $180 price with no firm date to go with it.

Officially listed as Emerald Rise/Ghost-Pale Ivory-Bluecap, the colorway pairs that aquamarine nylon body with periwinkle suede reinforcements across the toe box and eyestays, plus a matching suede heel counter. Satin lace caps repeat the same green as the Swoosh, and the serrated suede lace units that have marked every Jacquemus Moon Shoe since the line began carry over here too. A slim, gum-toned outsole made from Nike Grind, the recycled rubber Nike has used across the collide from its first rel, sits underneath, and a stretch textile collar keeps the ankle construction consistent with earlier pairs. Packaging references Nike’s earliest era, stamped with a nod to Blue Ribbon Sports, the name the company operated under before it became Nike. It’s a more contrasting build than the collision has used before: past colorways kept their Swooshes closer to neutral, tonal with the base fabric, where Emerald Rise puts two saturated colors directly against each other. The pair has already become one of the more resold contour to come out of a fashion house’s shoe deal this year, turn up on off-duty feet including Rihanna and NBA center Victor Wembanyama well before this particular colorway ever reach a store shelf.

Simon Porte Jacquemus posted the first look at the colorway himself in June 2026, and the brand follow with a fuller reveal the next month. Footwear coverage at the time placed the eventual launch in the Spring/Summer 2027 season, a year later than this piece original understood. Jacquemus’s own retail site hasn’t closed that gap: as of this writing, Emerald Rise isn’t yet listed alongside the label’s three current avail Moon Shoe options (Medium Brown, Pale Pink, and White), though the brand has confirmed the eventual release will run exclusively through jacquemus.com and a new Miami boutique, rather than through Nike’s SNKRS app, at that $180 price point. If the shoe reaches shelves within 2026 or slips into 2027 remains open, and nothing published so far resolves it either way. Both of the collision’s early waves firm up their own dates only in the weeks just before rel, which suggest a firm date for Emerald Rise may not surface until closer to whenever it actual ships. The choice of a Miami location to anchor the eventual rel also tracks with the pace of Jacquemus’s US retail expansion this year, though no opening date for that boutique has been made public either.

three

Emerald Rise would be the third distinct Moon Shoe release under the Jacquemus and Nike partnership. The line launched in September 2025 in three colorways, Off Noir, University Red, and a Jacquemus-exclusive Alabaster, fronted by actor Nicholas Alexander Chavez in a campaign shot by Oliver Hadlee Pearch. A second wave followed in March 2026 with Fauna Brown, Sail, and Pale Pink, fronted this time by Solange Knowles. Both waves reached Jacquemus’s own boutiques and site roughly a week before they reached Nike’s SNKRS app and select NikeLab stores, a sequencing the Emerald Rise sign-up page suggests will repeat.

The Moon Shoe is also the fourth footwear project between the two labels, following earlier collaborations built on the Air Max 1, the Air Force 1, and the Air Humara. Most recently, in June 2026, Jacquemus contributed a Cryoshot Tiempo R10 boot to a seven-country Nike programme timed to the World Cup, representing France with a white leather upper and tricolor detail sealed under a translucent, stud-encasing outsole. The other six national entries each paired a different country with its own designer or artist, all reworking a vintage Nike boot into a lifestyle sneaker ahead of the tournament.

hint

Jacquemus has said he found the original Moon Shoe three years before the 2025 launch, while going through Nike’s own archive, and decided its simplicity was worth reinterpreting. That original dates to 1972, when Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman and early employee Geoff Hollister hand-built a dozen prototype racing flats for the US Olympic Trials, sewing each Swoosh on with fishing line and pouring rubber into a waffle iron to create the nubby, gridded sole that gave the shoe its name: on a cinder track, each footprint looked like something an astronaut might leave behind. Only twelve pairs were made. One of them, the sole example known to survive unworn, sold for $437,500 at Sotheby’s in 2019, still the auction record for a single pair of sneakers. 2025 was also the year Nike put the Moon Shoe sil into general rel under its own name for the first time, separate from the Jacquemus line, closing a five-decade gap since that original dozen.

Jacquemus’s version keeps the ruched nylon and elastic heel construction that has defined the collision since 2025, built around a shape the house has described as part ballet slipper, part street shoe. For now, Emerald Rise exists only as teaser photography and an open sign-up page. No campaign imagery or talent pairing has been announced for it, unlike the two colorway waves that came before.
