17 September 2026. Korea first. Thirteen Asian markets. Two sandwiches. PEACEMINUSONE goods after the sauce.

McDonald’s Korea starts a PEACEMINUSONE campaign on 17 September 2026. G-Dragon is the face. Thirteen Asian markets follow on stagger dates. The share motif is gochujang butter sauce developed in Korea. In Korea the two named items are McCrispy Gochujang Butter and McSpicy Gochujang Butter. Same sauce as a dip. Merchandise with the daisy comes later in September. Exact SKUs, prices, and Japan status were still unlisted on the global McDonald’s Japan page at roll. Taiwan has printed 23 September. Hong Kong and the Philippines were grouped with Korea on the 17th in regional notices. Mainland China was floated for 8 October.

The teaser fused the missing-petal daisy with the Golden Arches. That is the graphic sentence. The food sentence is fermented chili paste in butter on fried chicken. First time PEACEMINUSONE has sat on a quick-service counter.

Signal. What happened: McDonald’s dated a PEACEMINUSONE campaign for 17 Sept 2026 in Korea, then 13 Asian markets. Exact product: two gochujang-butter chickens plus later daisy goods. When and where: McDonald’s Korea 17 Sept, then sequential Asia. Source: McDonald’s Korea campaign notice. Why it matters: a fashion daisy is now a sauce window. Earlier DRIFT: none on this pair.

stir

McCrispy and McSpicy already exist as chicken platforms. Gochujang butter is the overlay. Korea’s team mix fermented red pepper paste with butter and put it on both patties so the campaign has a single flavor spine across markets that will not all print the Korean word on the board. Some countries will. Some will only taste it.

The dip is the third SKU without being a sandwich. That is how a sauce travels when a market does not want two new burgers. Confirm local boards. Do not assume the Korea pair is the Hong Kong pair.

G-Dragon appears with the mascot in short clips. Phone in hand. Arch in frame. The campaign is a face plus a sauce, not a secret menu with twenty SKUs. Two items on day one is the Korea list. Treat extra sandwiches as rumor until the local app shows them.

Merchandise is the second beat. Regional copy has pointed at a yellow-red cap, a tote with M and PEACEMINUSONE type, and a three-pin set: daisy, fries, an M-letter mid. Those descriptions came from market previews, not a locked global lookbook. Prices and whether you buy them with a combo or at a separate counter will be local. Late September is the goods window Korea named. Do not queue for pins on the 17th if the notice says end of month.

flow

PEACEMINUSONE made the broken daisy a luxury-adjacent mark. McDonald’s made the Arch a planet. Putting a petal on the M is a collision that does not need a paragraph about “culture.” It needs a photograph of a tray. The tray is chicken, paper, and a pin if the pin is out.

G-Dragon has sold sneakers, jewelry, and perfume through that daisy. A fry box is a different object. The risk is that the daisy becomes a sticker on a bag that already had a logo. The campaign’s only defense is the sauce being specific. Gochujang is not a generic heat. Butter keeps it from reading as another spicy Mayo. If the sauce tastes like a marketing brief, the daisy cannot save the month. If the sauce tastes like Korea’s kitchen, the daisy is just the receipt.

Thirteen markets is a tour schedule disguised as a menu. Korea builds the motif. Everyone else adapts the board. That is how a QSR convince avoids inventing thirteen recipes. It is also how a fashion house ends up on a dipping cup in Manila and a cap in Taipei without opening a store.

fin

Japan had not posted a date. Comments under the teaser asked. Silence is the answer until McDonald’s Japan prints one. Mumbai was named as a later stop toward mid-November in one schedule rundown. Treat every city after Korea as a local announcement.

China’s October window, if it holds, is a second launch, not a restock of the Korean burgers. Different combo. Different goods counter. Same daisy.

What you can hold on the 17th in Seoul is two chickens and a dip. What you can hold later is whatever PEACEMINUSONE printed on plastic and metal. The Arch does not become a boutique. The daisy does not become a condiment. They share a month.

17 September 2026. Korea first. Confirm the local app for the sauce name and the goods hour.
