The album’s star-studded lineup includes flows with notable artists such as Future on “CHARGE DEM HOES A FEE,” “TRIM,” and “DIS 1 GOT IT,” Young Thug and Ty Dolla $ign on “WE NEED ALL DA VIBES,” Lil Uzi Vert on “JUMPIN” and “TWIN TRIM,” Travis Scott on “CRUSH,” “PHILLY,” and “WAKE UP F1LTHY,” The Weeknd on “RATHER LIE,” Skepta on “TOXIC,” and Kendrick Lamar on “GOOD CREDIT.”
“I AM MUSIC” serves as the first full-length offering from Carti since the December 2020 release of “Whole Lotta Red.” The record has been years in the making, with Carti fine-tuning his craft and incorporating experimental elements into his sound. The artist previously revealed that he dedicated three months to recording the bulk of the album within the confines of a cavernous Parisian studio.
