When asked about the parallels, Ray acknowledged the influence of his legendary father while also emphasizing their individuality.

“We’re very different people,” Ray explained during an interview with (Deadline) “I was born in 1992, he was born in 1937. The things that affect me don’t necessarily affect him. Obviously, I love him. He’s my inspiration. I ate dinner with him every night. I studied it, that’s how I learned to be a human being. So, of course we’re gonna be kind of similar.”

Ray’s remarks show a deep respect for his father’s legacy, while also affirming his own distinct journey in the film industry. As fans anticipate “Smile 2”, the connection between Ray’s eerie smile and Jack Nicholson’s memorable performance in *The Shining* only adds to the film’s intrigue, making it a fascinating point of discussion for both horror enthusiasts and film lovers alike.
