Japan official online 25 September, 18:00. Stores 26 September. Levi.com and select doors worldwide. Five shirts. Album art, tour marks, manifesto text. Not a denim rebuild.
Levi’s and The Smashing Pumpkins open a five-tee capsule on 25 September 2026. Japan’s official online store is first, 18:00. Physical Levi’s Japan doors follow 26 September. Levi.com and select shops worldwide carry the same five-piece merch world. Campaign line on the US site: Today Feels Different.

This is not a 501 reconstruction. It is graphics from a band that already designed its own merch myth, printed on Levi’s blanks with interval-style woven labels and hangtags meant to be kept. Leo Gamboa, Levi’s vice president of collision, framed it as honor to the music, the pictures, and the spirit around both.
Signal. What happened: Levi’s dated a five-tee Pumpkins capsule to 25 Sept Japan online, 26 Sept stores. Exact product: Infinite Sadness Tour, Heart, Star, Mission to Mars, Altitude Not Attitude. When and where: levi.com, Japan official, select global doors. Source: assigned retail brief. Why it matters: Levi’s music-tee line adds another 90s catalog that already looked like denim.

Levi Strauss & Co. has run music as a second heritage track: Beastie Boys, Nas, De La Soul, Oasis, Sonic Youth, Joy Division. The formula stays narrow. 1990s-style woven labels. Hangtags that collect. Graphics from a band’s actual sleeve and tour file, not a licensing mood board.
The Pumpkins earned that slot in public. Gish in 1991. Siamese Dream in 1993. Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness in 1995: double album, chart peak, sleeve of a Victorian-looking girl on a gold star in a painted night. The Tonight, Tonight video restaged Méliès and took six MTV VMAs, including Video of the Year. Hearts, stars, moons, handwritten manifesto. That is already a tee lang.
501s, truckers, and faded band shirts were the unofficial kit of mid-90s lots and record floors. Printing Pumpkins marks on Levi’s cotton is closer to restoring a look that already existed than inventing a mash-up.

five
Japan’s page leans on three short-sleeves. The US campaign names the long-sleeves. Together they cover Siamese Dream, the 1994 Red Heart Tour, Mellon Collie, and later marks.
Infinite Sadness Tour Tee. Soft palette, celestial graphics, album-era atmosphere. Washed color, starfields. The shirt that carries the Mellon Collie mood if you only take one for the art.
The Smashing Pumpkins Heart Tee. Siamese Dream period and Red Heart Tour. Manifesto text on the back, the kind that used to live on cheap tour stock and zine inserts. Heart as logo. Most conventional band-shirt shirt in the five.
The Smashing Pumpkins Star Tee. Short-sleeve built on one isolated crest. Stars run from Mellon Collie forward. This one treats the star like a tour badge.
Mission to Mars Tee. Black long-sleeve, front and back. Title sits next to the same planetary habit that powered Tonight, Tonight and the sleeve. Long-sleeve is the 90s layer under a flannel or a trucker.
Altitude Not Attitude Long Sleeve Tee. Fifth name in trade coverage. Slogan that sounds like a Corgan B-side title. The other long-sleeve.
Street talk puts shorts in the mid-$40s and longs around $50 on Levi.com. Third-party listings run higher. Treat launch-day numbers as fluid. The durable facts are the woven labels and the hangtags.
Construction is a Levi’s graphic blank: crew, relaxed, Red Tab world. Washed celestial color, not neon fest merch. Graphics from official-era art. That is the collision method.

Japan official online on the 25th is the first legal door. Stores on the 26th across a long listicle: Harajuku flagship, Shinjuku, Osaka, Nagoya ZERO GATE, Kobe, Minatomirai, Lalaport doors, Fukuoka, Sapporo, Kyoto, more. Red Tab alerts are being pushed on the brand page. Middle sizes go first in Harajuku and Shinjuku on capsules like this.
Levi.com and select global doors already treat the line as live. Japan’s landing page can miss Mission to Mars and Altitude if you only scan shorts. Relaxed graphic-tee sizing. True or one up for 90s drape. Cold wash. Celestial ink and manifesto backs do not thank a hot cycle.
September 2026 is crowded at Levi’s: ROSÉ denim, sacai reconstruction toward October, CPD HOOME in Japan, Vintage Clothing still in shops. Five tees is smaller than those files. Merch, not a twelve-piece denim thesis. Mellon Collie turned 30 in 2025. The pictures still hold on a phone. That is a practical reason to print them on a Tuesday shirt.
Levi’s x The Smashing Pumpkins. Five blanks. Heart, star, tour, Mars, altitude. Japan at 18:00. Stores the next morning. The hangtag is part of the object.
