BE@RBRICK x BEAMS 50th. 100 percent and 400 percent. Late October 2026. Medicom block. Print still unpublished in the official file.
BEAMS opened in Harajuku in 1976 as American Life Shop Beams. 2026 is year fifty. The shop has already spent the anniversary word on objects that exist in public: an Arc’teryx KOYO capsule with a Harajuku lottery in late September, a King Seiko KSK with a “beaming” dial and a numbered caseback, a Panasonic e-bike capped at 500 units. The brief now adds a BE@RBRICK pair from Medicom Toy: 100% and 400%, late October 2026.
Medicom’s bear is a nine-part vinyl block. Design is print. Nothing is sculpted onto the ears. 100% stands about 70 mm. 400% is four times that linear scale, about 280 mm. Anniversary collabs usually sell those two together in a marked box. That is the whole object until a jpeg of the print is on beams.co.jp.
This pass found no official price, no SKU, no confirmed hour, no 1000% mention, no description of the graphic. Inventing a camo bear or a 1976 skyline would be a different article. Late October is a month window.
Signal. What happened: a BE@RBRICK x BEAMS 50th set in 100% and 400% is slated for late October. Exact product: two-scale Medicom pair. When and where: BEAMS and standard Medicom pipes, day not locked. Source: assigned brief plus the shop’s public 50th calendar. Why it matters: the anniversary year now includes a block figure after jackets, a watch, and a bike. Earlier DRIFT: BEAMS 50th objects already in 2026, not this figure.

Medicom’s rule has not changed since the bear left the Kubrick family. The body splits into nine parts. Graphics wrap those parts. Collaborators do not get new anatomy. They get a rectangle that happens to be a bear. That limit is why the figure works as a brand calendar. Every house can be reduced to print.
100% is the unit that fits a palm and a crowded shelf of other 100%s. It is the one people buy as a pair of bookends for a larger figure they cannot afford twice. 400% is the unit that occupies a sightline. It photographs as furniture. It needs a box the size of a boot. Selling them together is how Medicom trains the customer: small proof, large proof, same graphic, one receipt.
Other 50th-year bears have used this exact pair logic. AVIREX wrapped a varsity idea across 100 and 400 in a special box. That is habit, not a leak of the BEAMS art. The habit matters because it tells you what will be on the counter: two plastics, one carton, a number printed somewhere on the cardboard.
A lone 100% would feel like a keychain that forgot its chain. A lone 400% would feel like a sculpture that refused to make a desk version. The brief naming both is the most reliable sentence in the file.
Secondary markets on other 100/400 sets move when the first weekend ends. Those prices are not this product. They are what happens after a print is public and a queue is over.
what
BEAMS has not saved the word “50th” for October. KOYO with Arc’teryx used Japanese autumn as a joint anniversary: 25 years of that partnership stacked on 50 years of the shop. Harajuku got the first door and a lottery. That is clothing with weather in the name. King Seiko took “beaming,” the shop’s root word, and cut it into a black dial with gold type and a limited caseback. That is metal with a serial. Panasonic put BMX memory on an e-bike and stopped at 500. That is a vehicle with a cap.

A BE@RBRICK sits in a different aisle of the same year. It does not keep rain off. It does not tell time. It does not move a body across Tokyo. It sits. People who wanted another jacket will call it merch. People who already own a wall of 400%s will call it a legitimate slot in 2026. Both groups will use the same Harajuku pavement.
Select shops talk to Medicom when they want an object that can be displayed without a mannequin. The bear is a vitrine product. It also travels in a box that can be gifted without a size. Anniversary years produce gifts. That is not cynicism. That is how 50th calendars fill the months after the first clothing drop.
Late October, if it holds, sits after the September outerwear waves. Wear the year first. Put the year on a shelf second. That order is tidy even if it was only a calendar accident.
Harajuku remains the likely first floor because that is where BEAMS still stages its own story. Medicom specialty doors and the official toy site are the other pipes. Until a page exists, treat every reseller listing as unverified.

Art. Price. Exact day. Lottery or walk-in. A 1000%. A pin. A T-shirt that shares the graphic. None of that is on an official product tile in this pass. The honest package stops at scale, month, and the fact of a 50th pairing.
Guessing the print is the usual failure. Camo because BEAMS likes workwear. Navy because the shop likes navy. A 1976 lockup because anniversaries love dates. Any of those could be right. Writing them as fact would be wrong. The bear’s only law is that the graphic, when it appears, will be flat.

Watch beams.co.jp and medicomtoy.co.jp. 100% is the small one. 400% is the one that needs space. Late October is the window. The fiftieth year already has cloth, steel, and a limited bike. This entry is two blocks waiting for ink.
