KJ0283 paint the CLOT Superstar dark blue from lace to shell toe, then parks a cardboard sharksole under a thin brown band. Overseas date on the brief: 1 September.
Style code KJ0283 is the next color on the CLOT Superstar last that Edison Chen cut for adidas Originals after the 2024 debut. The brief calls the pair Dark Blue/Cardboard. The upper, shell toe, Three Stripes, and laces go deep blue. A thin brown band sits under the foot. White and blue stack beneath that. A large serrated outsole in cardboard tan puts the bite under a clean low cut.
The overseas date attached to that brief is 1 September 2026. adidas’s own July press on this family covered White, Brown, and Unity Orange, $200, CONFIRMED and adidas.com from 25 July. That earlier hue is the switchboard version. This one is the flood version: more blue, contrast pushed into the sole stack.

Tongue stamp: tonal Trefoil on blue suede.
stir
CLOT opened in Hong Kong in 2003. The adidas chapter started in 2023 after years on the other side of the street. Chen has said the Superstar was the right first shoe because it lasted decades and still took collabs. The 2024 CLOT Superstar by Edison Chen rebuilt the 1969 basketball last as a leather object: shell toe in leather instead of rubber, a welt like a dress shoe, a serrated “shark” outsole instead of the cupsole everyone already owns.
That construction is the platform. Later tincture and side model (Breathe mesh, Dress loafers, patchwork, Mundial) keep changing the clothes. The skeleton stays: leather or leather-like shell ridges, a visible midsole story, a sawtooth underfoot that Gear Patrol traced to mid-century outdoor and tactical soles, attached on some pairs with cold cement rather than a hot cup.
July 2026’s White/Coffee/Unity Orange (listed in JP doors around KK1388, ¥33,000) used that skeleton as a color switch: white field, brown stripes, an orange belt around the midsole. Anthony Edwards fronted the campaign. Annie Choi drew the world around it. KJ0283 keeps the skeleton and turns the volume down on every panel except the sole.
actual
The brief is specific. One tone of dark blue covers upper, shell, stripes, and laces. Brushed and smooth leather sit in the same hue so the shading is finish, not pigment. Radial lines on the shell toe are dyed through, so the ridges do not flash white. Underfoot, a thin brown band breaks the blue before white and blue layers, then the cardboard serrated block. Tongue: Trefoil and CLOT, the collab stamp.
That is the opposite of the July pair. July announced itself with orange. September, if the brief holds, announces itself with a tan bite under a navy room.
Sharksole is marketing language for the same serrated unit Chen has been putting under Superstars, Gazelles, and related lasts. It makes a court shoe read like a resort or work sole. On a monochrome blue upper the sole is the only loud sentence.

hint
Treat 1 September as the overseas target on the brief, not as a CONFIRMED-app screenshot. Doors that moved the July color (adidas.com, CONFIRMED, JUICE, select Originals accounts) are the logical list. Price was $200 / ¥33,000 on the last leather CLOT Superstar. KJ0283 has not posted a new number here.
The pair is a colorway on an existing last, not a new last. Blue field, cardboard tooth, SKU KJ0283, overseas 1 September if the calendar holds.
