Jordan 8 “Chrome” 305381-007 hits 29 August 2026 at $215 and ¥31,350: black nubuck, chrome buckle, third run since 2003.
Jordan Brand is running it again on Saturday, 29 August 2026, as a full retail Air Jordan 8 Retro in Black/Chrome. Adult price $215. Japan tax-in ¥31,350. Family sizes sit under that: GS $165, PS $105, TD $90.
The date moved. Early calendars pointed at 12 September. The live window is this Saturday: 10:00 a.m. ET in the US on Nike and SNKRS, 9:00 in Japan on SNKRS and listed shops. atmos already closed a web raffle from 22 August 9:00 to 27 August 8:59.

Tinker Hatfield drew the Air Jordan 8 for 1993, the last title year of the first three-peat. Cross straps lock the midfoot. An inner sleeve holds the heel. The heel tab stays blank. The sil is busy even when the palette is not.
“Chrome” is not a 1993 game shoe. It arrived in 2003 as a later colorway, came back in 2015, and now returns for a third time. That is the whole biography. No championship photo has to carry it. Black nubuck does. The metal on the buckle and midsole does.
Other relevant sources file call the 2026 last closer to the original mold than some later retros. Nice Kicks made the same point: collectors had complained about proportion on previous 8s, and this run is sold as a correction. Either the last feels 1993 or 2015 is a fit question, not a tincture question. The hue is settled.

huh
Black nubuck covers the upper, the X straps, and the perforated side panels. Chrome sits on the strap buckle and as a band through the midsole. Grey shows on the chenille tongue patch and the mudguard so the shoe does not flatten into a black brick. The “23” on the strap is white with a chrome edge. Jumpman stays on the tongue. Outsole is mostly black rubber.
Pat Benson at Sports Illustrated noted a mix of real and synthetic leather on some official copy, plus Light Graphite and white in the accent stack. Retail pages still headline Black/Chrome. Both can be true. The read from across a room is black suede and a strip of metal.
The 8 always looked like hardware. Chrome just names the hardware. Aqua and Bugs Bunny (both back in the last two seasons) do the loud work. This pair does the night-shift work: same straps, less circus.

US: Nike.com, SNKRS, Foot Locker, Finish Line, Champs, Hibbett, DSG, Shiekh, and the usual Jordan doors at 10:00 a.m. ET. Full family run.
Japan: 29 August, 9:00, ¥31,350, listed sizes often 25.5 to 31 cm. SNKRS Japan and selected accounts. atmos raffle is already finished. Treat leftover doors as first-come once the app opens.
This is a general release on paper. Gen rel on an 8 with an eleven-year gap still empty a size run. Resale markets will price the leftovers. That is a later sentence.
