IRENISA’s FW26 menswear lands in stages from August: a boa and leather reversible jacket, a ¥159,500 wool pile coat, belted baggy flannel, and a sheep leather glove.
IRENISA is rolling its autumn and winter 2026 menswear out in stages rather than in one drop. Jackets first, then coats, then trousers, arriving at stockists and on IRENISA’s official site from August 2026. The piece drawing the most attention is a reversible jacket built from boa on one face and leather on the other, alongside a wool pile stand collar coat, belted baggy trousers, and a sheep leather glove.
stir
The jacket pairs a volume boa pile with leather on the reverse, cut on a pattern that fuses a raglan sleeve with a dolman sleeve. It’s a combination the house leans on for how it settles onto the shoulder without a hard seam line running across it, and the result falls soft rather than boxy.
Flip the jacket and the read changes entirely. Boa out gives warmth and texture. Leather out gives gloss, better suited to an evening or a drier cold snap. One garment covers two distinct looks, styled either way depending on the night.

A second jacket in the same drop swaps in matte suede. The edges at the cuffs, hem, and pockets get a koba finish, polishing the raw leather edge rather than binding it, which keeps the trim thin and the silhouette clean. It reads closer to tailoring than to a motorcycle jacket.
flow
The stand collar coat carries the drop’s highest price, ¥159,500. It’s built from a wool pile melton that traps air, so it reads as heavy without wearing like one. Construction is single layer, with no quilted lining sandwiched inside, letting the pile itself do the insulating.
IRENISA’s modified sleeve pattern shows up here too: the armhole follows the shoulder’s actual line rather than dropping off it, which keeps the coat’s fall clean from collar to hem despite the loose, voluminous read the fabric gives it from a distance.
extend
Below the waist, the Belted High-Waist Baggy Pants run ¥53,900 in a lightweight wool flannel. Two tucks sit at the waistband, and the leg runs wide and straight to the hem. IRENISA cuts the waist deliberately oversized, then lets a self-fabric belt cinch it up high, which builds a draped volume at the hip once it’s pulled tight. They’re washable by hand.
The accessory in the lineup is a sheep leather glove at ¥35,200, chrome tanned and heavily oiled for a deep, even color and a smooth hand. A polyester lining inside adds warmth without trapping moisture against the skin.
Elsewhere on the rack, the season’s other silhouettes are already live: a modified shawl collar jacket at ¥104,500, a relax shoulder jacket at ¥89,100, tracker jackets at ¥79,200, belted wide pants at ¥59,400, and two-tuck tapered and one-tuck baggy trousers running ¥49,500 to ¥52,800. The reversible jacket, the coat, and the glove are newer additions still filtering into stock as the August rollout continues.

A second reversible piece is already shipping too. IRENISA’s Reversible Stand-Collar Blouson runs ¥118,800 and works the same flip-it idea in lighter materials, a dense cotton twill on one face against an organic cotton corduroy on the other, rather than boa against leather. It’s a gentler read of the same trick that anchors this drop, and worth knowing about if the boa and leather jacket sells out before it reaches a size.

IRENISA is run by Yu Kobayashi and Yuji Abe, a Tokyo designer duo who launched the label together from its 2020-21 autumn winter debut. Kobayashi trained as a patternmaker at Yohji Yamamoto; Abe came up through planning, production, and design roles at SUPPORT SURFACE. Both are graduates of Bunka Fashion College, and the two worked together as do-si LLC, formed in 2018, before IRENISA became the outlet for that partnership. The brand runs on the line CHIC WITH SARCASM, its own shorthand for pairing a grounding in classic tailoring with a willingness to undercut it, and was selected for the TOKYO FASHION AWARD in 2023. A women’s line followed in spring 2025.
This collection was first shown on the runway on February 9, 2026, under the theme Latent Presence, IRENISA’s way of describing clothes built around understatement rather than a costume of rank. It followed Breathed Stillness, the quieter theme behind the brand’s spring summer 2026 collection the season before. Nothing about the reversible jacket or the coat announces itself loudly. Both just do more than they first look like they do: one garment with two faces, one coat carrying a lot less weight than it appears to. The modified sleeve construction on the coat isn’t a one-off either. It’s the same pattern logic behind the already-shipping Reversible Stand-Collar Blouson, a house signature that keeps showing up across seasons rather than a detail built for one piece.
IRENISA’s showroom sits at #101, 3-9-10 Sasazuka, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, and the new pieces keep landing through stockists, the brand’s own store, and its Instagram through the rest of August.
