Lacoste and BEAMS return for 2026 autumn winter with a stripe shirt, a waffle thermal, and a heavy pique long-sleeve polo, priced in yen on the BEAMS channel.
Lacoste and BEAMS have put another seasonal 別注 on the floor. The 2026 autumn winter set is three garments, not a runway rewrite of Pelagia Kolotouros’s Paris tennis-in-the-rain collection and not a restock of the spring 50th-anniversary badge tee. A stripe shirt at ¥19,800. A logo thermal Tee at ¥14,300. A heavy pique long-sleeve polo at ¥20,900. All tax in. The first two opened pre-order on the BEAMS online store in early August, with additional reservation noted later in the month and a general early-September on-shelf window attached to the shirt and thermal. The polo sits on the same season card.
The partnership is a shop habit. BEAMS has cut Lacoste polos, borders, A-line tees, and knit collars for years and sold them through its own doors with a crocodile that only this register is allowed to use. 2026 is also the shop’s 50th year. That anniversary already produced a separate Lacoste badge T-shirt in May, ¥12,100, with the word BEAMS drawn inside the animal. The autumn pieces reuse that inside-the-croco idea on the thermal’s back and keep the rest of the set closer to cloth you actually layer in September.

Lacoste x BEAMS FW26 logo thermal, back print. Official product still.
stir
The stripe shirt is the loud quiet one. Japanese product notes describe a stripe field that hides the outline of Lacoste’s crocodile in the pattern, then puts a proper croco patch on the left chest pocket and another under the back yoke. That is the whole joke. You get a shirt that reads as a shirt until the animal surfaces twice as embroidery and once as drawing in the cloth. ¥19,800 puts it in the mid-shirt band for a BEAMS 別注, above a standard tee and below the wool knit polos the same pairing has sold in other seasons.
The logo thermal is waffle knit. Front: the ordinary chest crocodile. Back: a large croco print with BEAMS lettered inside the body, the same device the May anniversary tee used at smaller scale. Color talk in the shop write-ups stays on the sober side. Waffle gives the surface a grid that photographs as texture even when the palette is quiet. ¥14,300 is the lowest ticket in the three-piece list and the one that will sit under the shirt.
The heavy pique long-sleeve polo is the most Lacoste object in the stack. Heavy canoko, long sleeve, ¥20,900. Public notes in August list it beside the other two without the same paragraph of graphic description. Treat it as the knit that carries the season when the shirt is too loud and the thermal is too light. Prior BEAMS Lacoste polos have used the shop-only chest mark. Until BEAMS posts a dedicated spec block, that is the working assumption, not a confirmed stitch map.
None of the three is the Paris FW26 showpiece. Kolotouros built that collection on a 1923 rain delay in Deauville and a Mackintosh capsule of rubberized cotton. The BEAMS cut is a Tokyo shop order: shirt, thermal, polo. Different brief, same crocodile.
change
Lacoste’s animal is a licensed mark. BEAMS gets a version that can carry the shop name. The May badge tee put BEAMS inside the croco on the chest and at the neck. The FW26 thermal repeats the inside lettering as a back print. The stripe shirt keeps the animal as outline-in-stripe plus two patches. That is a clean division of labor. One piece writes on the logo. One piece hides the logo in the weave. One piece is still, pending a full card, a polo.
René Lacoste founded the house in 1933 after the tennis years. The crocodile predates the shop. BEAMS opened in 1976 in Harajuku. Fifty years later the two names still meet on a T-shirt back. There is no new origin story required. The only new drawing is the word inside the reptile and the reptile inside the stripe.
straddle
Early-season Japanese notes put the shirt and thermal on an early September release, with BEAMS online pre-order from the first week of August and an additional reservation wave around 21 August. The polo is grouped in the same FW26 別注 list. Brick-and-mortar allocation beyond the online store was not a finished public grid at the 28 August check. Prior Lacoste 別注 seasons have sold through BEAMS branches as well as the site. That pattern is likely. It is not a posted store-by-store sheet for these three SKUs.
The May 50th badge tee remains a separate product at ¥12,100, already described as available on the BEAMS site while stock lasts. Do not collapse that tee into the autumn three. Different month, different price, same croco-letter trick.
No official dollar or euro card was attached to the FW26 trio. Currency conversion is a reader’s problem, not a hangtag.

length
BEAMS is spending 2026 marking five decades with a string of 別注, not a single monument. Converse rebuilt All Star J Ox and Hi to a 1976 brief. Other shop projects run in parallel. The Lacoste line is one of the quieter ones: no faded black vulcanized foxing, no camouflage cartridge shirt. A thermal. A stripe. A polo.
That quiet is the point of a recurring 別注. The shop already taught its customers how to read a Lacoste piece that is not on the global grid. Chest mark exclusive to BEAMS. Occasional back print. Prices that sit just above mainline basics. FW26 does not break the method. It adds waffle and a hidden outline.
Lacoste’s own autumn winter 2026, shown in Paris, is a different sentence: trenches, bonded wool, rust and grass after rain, Mackintosh hand-taping. A reader can wear both stories in the same month. They are not the same SKU list.
fin
Gaps, listed without padding. No full official lookbook URL isolated for the three FW26 別注 pieces on Lacoste’s global site at check. No published size run unique to the stripe shirt or the thermal beyond the fact that BEAMS is taking reservations. No confirmed color count for each of the three. No hammer-by-store list for 28 August. No statement that the heavy pique polo carries the same inside-BEAMS croco as the thermal. The May badge tee’s construction is documented. The autumn polo’s graphic side is thinner in public copy.
What is on the record is enough to file the season. Three garments. Three yen prices. BEAMS as the channel. A crocodile that either hides in a stripe, sits on a chest, or swallows the shop’s name on a waffle back. Early September for the shirt and thermal if the August notes hold. A 50th-year shop that already used the same animal in May.
