In a striking mixology of Spanish luxury craftsmanship and Swiss engineering precision, LOEWE and On have unveiled their latest merge chapter: the LightSpray Cloudmonster. This limited-release sneaker represents a bold leap forward in experimental footwear, centering on On’s groundbreaking LightSpray™ technology while embodying LOEWE’s signature sculptural design ethos.

At the mid of the release is a laceless silhouette that redefines traditional shoe construction. The upper is created through a single spray-on process using precision-engineered filament, produced in approximately three minutes. This innovative method eliminates conventional layering, stitching, and reinforcements, resulting in a seamless, ultra-light, and highly flexible form that conforms naturally to the foot’s movement. Crafted from virgin TPU, the semi-transparent upper delivers a barely-there sensation, prioritizing comfort and adaptability for all-day wear.

The LightSpray Cloudmonster pairs this futuristic upper with On’s Cloudmonster Hyper sole, featuring a Monster 3 Hyper construction. It incorporates Helion™ HF foam in the top midsole for enhanced cushioning, superior energy return, and a responsive ride. The CloudTec® system provides targeted support and shock absorption, making the shoe suitable for both urban exploration and light performance activities. In its debut all-white colorway, the design features subtle silver co-branding from LOEWE and On, maintaining a clean, minimalist aesthetic that highlights the innovative materials.

A standout feature is the inclusion of three interchangeable socks in vibrant Fluo Yellow, Fluo Green, and Teal colorways. These are not mere accessories but integral design elements developed specifically for the LightSpray construction. Wearers can swap them to dramatically alter the shoe’s view impact, transforming the monochromatic base into dynamic, color-pop statements. This modularity adds skittishness and versatility, aligning with LOEWE’s emphasis on proportion, color, and personalization.

This release builds on the ongoing partnership between the two brands. LOEWE, founded in Spain in 1846 and currently under the creative direction of Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, brings an intellectual, playful approach to luxury with unmatched expertise in materials and form. On, born in the Swiss Alps in 2010, focuses on igniting the human spirit through movement with disruptive innovations like CloudTec® and now LightSpray™. Their collection marries high-performance functionality with artistic sensibility.

Alongside the flagship LightSpray Cloudmonster, the collection updates the Cloudsolo and introduces the Cloudtilt Hi. The Cloudsolo, the first shoe co-designed by both brands, returns with refined bicolour pairings and new exclusive shades including Teal, Sand, and Burgundy. Its technical mesh upper uses semi-translucent yarns for depth and visual interest, accented by LOEWE’s signature pebble toggle on the lacing system. A single CloudTec® element in the heel, combined with a flexible Speedboard and Helion™ superfoam, ensures balanced comfort for everyday wear.

The new Cloudtilt Hi elevates the silhouette with a high-top design, offering increased ankle support and a sock-like fit ideal for extended urban adventures. It features tri-color blocking in sophisticated combinations such as teal, taupe, black, and sand. The multi-material upper blends breathable knitted mesh with structured panels, pull loops for easy entry, and On’s CloudTec® architecture for fluid movement.

The entire collection is showcased in a campaign directed by visual artist duo Blackwall. The film juxtaposes the robotic precision of the LightSpray™ production process with LOEWE’s tactile, artisanal approach, set against bold colors and saturated environments. It emphasizes themes of movement, form, and the harmony between technology and craft.

Pricing positions the pieces firmly in the quiet-performance space, with the LightSpray Cloudmonster as a premium limited offering (expected around $650–$990 USD depending on model), reflecting the advanced manufacturing and exclusive distribution. The LightSpray Cloudmonster is available exclusively at select On and LOEWE stores in key cities including London, Paris, New York, and Tokyo. The Cloudsolo and Cloudtilt Hi are more widely available at On and LOEWE stores, select retailers, and online.

This collaboration arrives at a moment when the boundaries between fashion, performance, and technology are increasingly blurred. Consumers seek footwear that delivers not only on aesthetics and status but also on genuine functionality—lightness, cushioning, and adaptability. The LightSpray Cloudmonster addresses these desires by minimizing components while maximizing innovation. Traditional sneakers often rely on multiple layered materials that add weight and rigidity; LightSpray™ strips this back to essentials, creating a second-skin effect that feels revolutionary yet intuitive.

consider

From a design perspective, LOEWE’s influence is evident in the sculptural quality of the sole units and the thoughtful color play. The interchangeable socks echo LOEWE’s history with modular and customizable elements in accessories and ready-to-wear, allowing the shoe to evolve with the wearer’s mood or outfit. This level of interactivity is rare in high-performance footwear and positions the Cloudmonster as both a technical marvel and a fashion statement.

Sustainability considerations also factor in. On has long pursued circular economy initiatives, and the simplified LightSpray process—fewer parts, less waste in production—aligns with forward-thinking manufacturing. While virgin TPU is used, the efficiency of the three-minute spray process represents a step toward reduced material consumption compared to conventional assembly lines.

shape

Critics and enthusiasts alike are buzzing about the release. In an era dominated by maximalist chunky shoes, the LightSpray Cloudmonster offers a refined, almost futuristic minimalism that still packs serious performance credentials. It bridges the gap between runway-ready luxury and everyday usability, much like previous LOEWE x On drops that blended Cloudtilt and Cloudsolo models with elevated detailing.

Looking ahead, this drop signals continued evolution in the partnership. With On pushing boundaries in foam technologies like Helion™ HF and LightSpray™, and LOEWE reinterpreting luxury through innovative silhouettes, future collaborations could explore even more experimental territories—perhaps fully customizable uppers or integrations with smart materials.

fin

For sneakerheads, fashion insiders, and show enthusiasts, the LightSpray Cloudmonster is more than just another collab drop; it’s a glimpse into the future of footwear where technology serves beauty, comfort meets couture, and movement becomes art. Limited availability means acting fast—head to LOEWE or On stores or their websites to secure a pair before they disappear into collections and archives.

In merging cutting-edge production with timeless design values, LOEWE and On have once again proven that true innovation in fashion lies not in excess, but in elegant simplification. The LightSpray Cloudmonster floats—literally and figuratively—above the competition.
