Yuji, Megumi, Maki, Yuta, Choso and Naoya Zen’in now stand under four inches tall, each hidden inside a $19.99 box until someone opens it.
At 5:00 PM Pacific on September 24, POP MART switched on a new listing in its US web store: Jujutsu Kaisen The Culling Game Series Figures, a blind box run drawn from the longest stretch of Gege Akutami‘s Jujutsu Kaisen. Each sealed box costs $19.99 and holds one of six characters, and a full set runs $119.94 with a guarantee of no repeats. The listing went up six months after the anime’s third season closed out the first half of the arc, with the second half confirmed but still undated.
Signal. What happened: POP MART rel a new Jujutsu Kaisen blind box series built around the anime’s Culling Game arc, its second blind box run for the franchise after the 2024 Uniform Series. Exact object: Jujutsu Kaisen The Culling Game Series Figures, six regular figures (Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Maki Zen’in, Yuta Okkotsu, Choso, Naoya Zen’in) plus a secret Yuji Itadori with Panda at 1 in 72 odds, each 8 to 10 centimeters tall in PVC and ABS, priced at $19.99 per box or $119.94 for a guaranteed six-figure set. When and where: online through POP MART US from September 24, 2026 at 5:00 PM PST, followed by POP MART’s retail stores and Amazon storefront; in Japan, the same six characters arrived on September 19 as GiGO-exclusive crane game prizes co-developed by POP MART Japan and Toho. Source: POP MART’s official product page and collision listicle, Siliconera’s launch report, and GENDA GiGO Entertainment’s press release for the Japan prize run. Why it matters: the drop fills the gap between anime seasons for one of the biggest manga properties of the decade, and it lands in a year POP MART’s founder has described as a business adjustment year, with licensed anime lines taking up more of its new-release shelf. Earlier: a coverage of Santa Cruz’s Pokémon blind bag skateboards and Timberland’s One Piece boots tracked the same collision of blind-format collecting and anime license

The six regular figures are Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Maki Zen’in, Yuta Okkotsu, Choso and Naoya Zen’in, sculpted in PVC and ABS at between 8 and 10 centimeters depending on pose. The designs follow the characters as they look in the middle and later episodes of the anime’s third season, and a couple of details push the set beyond a row of standing poses. Megumi’s rabbits, the Rabbit Escape shikigami he calls up through his Ten Shadows technique, are molded into the figure itself rather than packed as loose accessories. The secret, pulled at 1 in 72, is a second Yuji in a different stance with Panda standing behind him, and in POP MART’s product shots Panda appears to be an acrylic standee fixed to the base rather than a sculpted piece. The listing flags the series as unsuitable for anyone under 15, the same line POP MART prints across its other Jujutsu Kaisen products. Web sales came first, with boxes then moving into POP MART’s own stores and its Amazon storefront, where the full set is listed as a single purchase.
flow
The Culling Game starts where the Shibuya Incident leaves Japan: overrun by curses and split into ten barrier colonies, where anyone holding a cursed technique is forced into a points-based fight for survival. The architect is Kenjaku, the ancient sorcerer occupying Suguru Geto’s body. Yuji and his allies enter the colonies with two goals, finding a way to free Satoru Gojo from the Prison Realm and rescuing Megumi’s older sister Tsumiki, who has been pulled into the game. That setup explains most of the roster.
Yuji and Megumi are the obvious anchors, and Megumi’s stake in the arc is personal from the first episode. Yuta Okkotsu, the special grade sorcerer who returned from overseas in the wake of Shibuya, carried the season’s biggest set piece: his fight against the reincarnated sorcerers Takako Uro and Ryu Ishigori in the Sendai Colony filled the extended 27-minute finale that closed Season 3. Choso, the eldest of the Death Painting brothers, came to regard Yuji as a younger brother during the Shibuya Incident, and the pairing carries straight into this arc. Maki’s thread runs through her own family, the Zen’in clan, which is also the reason Naoya Zen’in, the clan’s heir apparent, earns a slot of his own.
The gaps are just as readable. Gojo, the series’ strongest sorcerer, sits out the set, which tracks with a story that keeps him sealed away for its entire length. Kinji Hakari is missing too, and his headline fight belongs to the half of the arc the anime hasn’t reached yet. Ryomen Sukuna, who served as the secret figure in POP MART’s first Jujutsu Kaisen run, doesn’t appear at all. What’s left is a lineup weighted toward the characters audiences actually watched carry the first half of the Culling Game on screen.

POP MART’s first pass at the franchise reached the US on November 8, 2024. The Jujutsu Kaisen Uniform Series was a school-portrait lineup of 12 regular figures drawn from the Tokyo and Kyoto campuses, teachers included: Yuji, Nobara Kugisaki, Megumi, Gojo, Aoi Todo, Toge Inumaki, Kasumi Miwa, Kento Nanami, Mai Zen’in, Maki Zen’in, Panda and Utahime Iori, with Sukuna hidden as the secret at 1 in 144. Boxes sold for $16.99 each, the full run cost $203.88, and the figures stood 6.6 to 7.8 centimeters tall. In Japan, POP MART Japan’s online shop still lists single pieces at ¥1,650.
Set side by side, the new series is a tighter proposition. The figures are taller, the character count is halved, each box costs $3 more, and completing the set costs roughly $84 less than the Uniform run. The secret is twice as likely to turn up. Panda, a regular figure in the first series, shifts into a supporting role behind Yuji in the second.
Between the two blind box runs, POP MART also tried a different format. Its Jujutsu Kaisen Series Scene Blocks went on sale online in the US on July 9, 2026, with the Japanese release following the next day. The line covered buildable scenes of Yuji, Gojo and Sukuna, with the Sukuna build standing about 58 centimeters tall and both the Gojo and Sukuna sets carrying electronic components. Within eleven weeks, the franchise has shown up in the same store as a display-scale building set and as a palm-sized blind box.
scope
Five days before the US web launch, the same six characters turned up somewhere POP MART figures had never been sold before: inside crane games. On September 19, GiGO, the arcade chain run by GENDA GiGO Entertainment, began rolling out a set of Jujutsu Kaisen mini character figures as GiGO-exclusive prizes across roughly 320 locations in Japan and its GiGO ONLINE CRANE service. According to GiGO’s announcement, the figures were jointly planned and produced by POP MART Japan, the brand’s Tokyo subsidiary established in July 2020 and now based at Azabudai Hills, and Toho, whose TOHO animation label sits behind the anime, and they mark the first time POP MART figures have been made as crane game prizes. The listed characters match the US blind box exactly: Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Yuta Okkotsu, Maki Zen’in, Choso and Naoya Zen’in. The announcement does not say whether the prize figures share sculpts with the US boxes.
The GiGO tie-up grows out of a relationship that has been running for nearly five years. POP MART installed a ROBO SHOP vending unit at GiGO Akihabara Building 3 on November 20, 2021, then added another at GiGO’s Osaka Dotonbori flagship in 2024. The companies describe this Jujutsu Kaisen set as the first installment of an ongoing three-way collaboration, with plans to sell the figures in blind box form outside Japan, starting at two GiGO locations in Shanghai.

The prize run also enters a crowded Japanese market for this arc. Bandai Spirits opened an Ichiban Kuji lottery themed on the Culling Game on March 7, at ¥790 per draw, with oversized acrylic stands of Maki alongside Mai, Yuta, Yuki Tsukumo, Naoya and Choso among its top prizes and a Hiromi Higuruma and Judgeman figure as the Last One prize. A second round followed from April 25 with five figures, Yuta, Rika and Ryu Ishigori among them. Much of the POP MART roster, in other words, had already been through Japan’s convenience store lottery circuit before it reached a claw machine.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, broadcast as The Culling Game Part 1, premiered in January 2026 with an hour-long special covering its first two episodes and ran twelve episodes through late March. The fourth season, The Culling Game Part 2, was confirmed immediately after the finale aired. MAPPA has since named Takeru Sato, the third season’s assistant director, as director, with Shota Goshozono moving up to chief director. A first teaser debuted at MAPPA’s 15th anniversary presentation in June, and a new key visual followed on August 29 at Jujutsu Fest 2026, an event marking the anime’s fifth anniversary. No premiere date has been announced.
In the meantime, the existing episodes have been spreading to new platforms. Crunchyroll streamed Season 3 alongside its Japanese broadcast, and Hulu began carrying it in subbed and dubbed versions on July 10. The source material is already complete. Akutami’s manga ran in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump from March 2018 until September 30, 2024, closing at 30 volumes, and the series has passed 150 million copies in circulation including digital editions. The film side has kept the franchise in theaters between seasons, too. The 2021 prequel film Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has grossed ¥26.5 billion worldwide, and 2025 brought a chronological theatrical program in Japan: a compilation film of the Hidden Inventory and Premature Death arc in May, a Jujutsu Kaisen 0 revival in October, and a November release pairing a special edit of the Shibuya Incident with advance screenings of the Culling Game’s first two episodes. That leaves the new figures sitting in a pause where the story on screen has stopped at the Sendai Colony and the next chapter has a director and a teaser but no date.

POP MART reported revenue of 17.17 billion yuan for the first half of 2026, up 23.8 percent on the same period a year earlier, with six of its own characters, THE MONSTERS, TWINKLE TWINKLE, CRYBABY, DIMOO, SKULLPANDA and HIRONO, each clearing a billion yuan. Its retail footprint reached 676 stores and 2,827 roboshops worldwide by the end of June. Those figures follow a 2025 in which full-year revenue climbed to 37.12 billion yuan, and founder Wang Ning has framed 2026 as a business adjustment year, telling investors after the interim results that the 20 percent growth target set in January would likely be missed.
The company, founded in Beijing in 2010 and listed in Hong Kong in 2020, built its name on original characters by designers it signs and manages. Licensed work runs alongside that core, and its US collaborations page shows how wide the lane has become: a VALORANT Classic Agents series, a Demon Slayer Battle Series, a POP Action Naruto Chunin Exam Arc set at $27.99, plus Genshin Impact, League of Legends, Harry Potter and Disney lines. Anime has its own dedicated category in the store navigation. On that collaborations page, the Culling Game set sits second in the new arrivals row, directly after the VALORANT agents, at the same $19.99.
