Beats 360 Makes The Pads The Product

Beats put Beats 360 on apple.com on 22 September 2026 at $349.99. In-store from 24 September. Four frames: Black, Cloud, Pink, Sky, each boxed with matching Performance Knit ear and headband cushions. Extra kits: knit in those four plus Navy and Volt, UltraPlush in Black and Cloud. A kit is ear cups plus headband, listicle around $50. Beats’ combination math: up to 256 if you mix cup and band. India listing: Rs 42,900.

This is the first Beats over-ear built around interchangeable pads. Apple has owned Beats for more than a decade. Studio Pro drops to $299.99 as the 360 arrives. The 360 is the sport-and-desk hybrid: IPX4 sweat and water, ANC claimed at 1.75 times Studio Pro, custom dual-magnet drivers 12 dB louder than that model, 32 hours with ANC and spatial audio on, five-minute Fast Fuel for about an hour. Nine digital MEMS mics for calls. Personalized spatial audio with head tracking and Dolby Atmos. Adaptive EQ on the current iOS. Battery replacement service about $79, mail-in or carry-in, same idea as Studio Pro and Solo 4.

Studio and Solo sealed the pads. When the foam died, the headphone aged as a unit. 360 treats cups and band as clothing. Performance Knit is the gym texture: open, wash-adjacent, IPX4-friendly. UltraPlush is the desk texture: thicker, two colors only. You can run Volt cups on a Cloud frame. You can run a Navy band on Pink cups. Two hundred fifty-six is a marketing ceiling. The real number is however many $50 kits a person will actually buy.

IPX4 on an over-ear is the fitness sentence Beats wanted. AirPods Max never took that rating. The rumored sport Max did not ship. 360 is the object that rumor became, wearing a lowercase b. Sweat on knit is a different problem than sweat on leatherette. The kit exists so the soaked pair can become the dry pair without a new $350 frame.

Colors are pale on purpose. Sky, Cloud, Pink, Black. Volt and Navy live in the spare-kit drawer. That split keeps the shelf calm and the aftermarket loud. It is also how Beats stays in the Apple store without looking like a toy bin.

New dual-magnet dynamics plus amp: 12 dB over Studio Pro. Louder is the number reviewers kept. ANC at 1.75 times the outgoing flagship is the other number. Transparency is in the stack. Adaptive EQ watches fit. Spatial with head tracking is the Apple-family feature. Nine mics and beamforming are the call feature. 32 hours with the fancy modes on is the travel feature. Five minutes on the cable for an hour is the gym-bag feature.

No Apple H2. No on-head detection. No USB-C analog pass-through. No hi-res wireless badge in the early reviews. Those absences are how 360 stays $200 under current AirPods Max talk and still looks like a sibling. Android pairing is called out as less hostile than Max. Physical buttons stay. Always-on Siri on Apple devices stays.

Replaceable battery at $79 is the longevity claim. A modular pad system plus a service battery is how Beats argues $350 is not a sealed season.

AirPods Max remains the heavier, more expensive, indoor object. 360 is the one you can take into a class without treating leather like a tragedy. It is also the one that will not do wired listening if the battery is dead. That is a hard line. Studio Pro still exists at $300 for people who want the old shape.

Limited $9.99 kit promos ran at launch in a short country list. After that, kits are fifty. The frame is the purchase. The drawer of rings is the habit.
