Selection Sunday:

• Date: March 16, 2025

• Details: The NCAA Selection Committee announces the 68 teams participating in the tournament, including 31 automatic bids from conference champions and 37 at-large bids. 

First Four:

• Dates: March 18-19, 2025

• Location: University of Dayton Arena, Dayton, Ohio

• Details: Eight teams compete in play-in games to secure their spots in the main bracket. 

First and Second Rounds:

• Dates: March 20-23, 2025

• Locations:

• Amica Mutual Pavilion, Providence, Rhode Island

• Rupp Arena, Lexington, Kentucky

• Intrust Bank Arena, Wichita, Kansas

• Ball Arena, Denver, Colorado

• Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, Cleveland, Ohio

• Fiserv Forum, Milwaukee, Wisconsin

• PNC Arena, Raleigh, North Carolina

• Climate Pledge Arena, Seattle, Washington

• Details: Teams compete to advance to the Sweet 16. 

Regional Semifinals and Finals (Sweet 16 and Elite Eight):

• Dates: March 27-30, 2025

• Locations:

• East Regional: Prudential Center, Newark, New Jersey

• West Regional: Chase Center, San Francisco, California

• South Regional: State Farm Arena, Atlanta, Georgia

• Midwest Regional: Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Indiana

• Details: Winners advance to the Final Four. 

Final Four and National Championship:

• Dates: April 5 (Semifinals) and April 7 (Championship), 2025

• Location: Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas

• Details: The culmination of the tournament, where the national champion is crowned. 

For fans eager to participate in bracket challenges, it’s worth noting that predicting a perfect bracket is extraordinarily difficult. The longest verified streak of correct picks to start the tournament is 49 games, achieved in 2019. 

As the tournament approaches, fans can look forward to the excitement and unpredictability that make March Madness a highlight of the sports calendar.
