The UK underground favorite pairs rattling hi-hats and transportive synths with an EDM leaning build on his newest single.

Fimiguerrero has spent the past few years turning the UK’s underground rap scene into something closer to a proving ground for how loud a single can get without losing its shape. “Too High” is his new entry in that pursuit, an EDM-influence, buzzy track built on rattling hi-hats and dense kicks, with synths that feel less like a beat and more like a launch sequence. The mood swings across the runtime rather than settle into one lane.

A central vocal sample keeps pulling the track toward euphoria, while scattered electronic scrapes underneath work against that pull, adding an edge that keeps the whole thing from tipping into pure feel-good territory. Born Fimihan Uthman Akinola in Nigeria, Fimiguerrero moved to London with his mother and brother as an infant, growing up between Greenwich, Thamesmead, Newham, and briefly Kent before dropping out of a fashion marketing degree to pursue music full time. His catalog since has lean hard into the UK’s jerk and rage near scene, from early tapes like No Way Out and Human Anatomy through 2023’s Black and Immigrant, the latter arrive the same year he built a breakout shape with Lancey Foux on “Dark Knight.” That together carried into 2024’s CONGLOMERATE, a joint mixtape with Lancey Foux and Len, rel alongside his own solo tape New World Order, the pair of projects widely cred with pushing him from underground favorite toward wider recognition. “Too High” follows a steady run of 2025 and 2026 loose singles and features, including “Skywalker” with fakemink and “Cocaina,” both reportedly pulled from an upcoming project titled The Statue of a Fool.
