Don’t Feel Right landed 28 August 2026 on Arista. Official video the next day. Savannah guitar, Airstream habits, a title that does not pretend the weather improved.
Jonah Kagen put Don’t Feel Right out on 28 August 2026 through Arista, under exclusive license from his own name. Three and a half minutes. The official video followed on his channel. He had already been playing the song live: Salt Lake City in mid-August, Lexington’s Burl by the 29th, tucked between Krissy and Roads like it had been on the setlist longer than the streaming date.
Savannah-born, now 26. Writer, player, producer, often out of an Airstream he turned into a studio. That trailer is the biography everyone repeats because it is also the method: write where you sleep, park where the next room is. Sunflowers and Leather came in 2025. Black Dress and The Roads before that. “God Needs the Devil” went to number one at Alternative Airplay. “You Again” lived on AAA. “Talkin’ About Jesus” opened 2026. Don’t Feel Right is the new short title after a year of longer weather.
His own clip tagged the rel folk and americana. That is the floor, not the ceiling. The songs have always had pop reach with acoustic bones. Townes and Isbell sit in the influence list he publish. The Airstream sits in the photo.

A midnight post on Instagram said the song was out in your time zone. Comments filled with people who had already heard it in a room. Knoxville after the drop. Fayetteville the night before a reel. That is the current Kagen circuit: the single is a file, then it is a room, sometimes in that order, sometimes reversed.
Don’t Feel Right as a title does the work a chorus would do. It names the off feeling without dressing it as a plot. His catalog likes plain nouns that still bruise: roads, matches, black dress, devil. This one is a diagnosis you can hum. Listeners in the comments called it a favorite he had already written, which is another way of saying the live version train the ear before the DSP stamp.
The video is the official document. Three minutes forty-eight on YouTube against a three-thirty audio bed, credits and air around the song. He writes and produces enough of his own stack that a new single still sounds like the same trailer, even when the label line is Sony’s.

Kagen’s lane is guitar-forward tell that radio can still hold. Alternative number ones and AAA single sit next to porch-voice wrote. Don’t Feel Right does not announce a new genre. It announces another night on the list.
Dermot Kennedy date sit ahead, Anthem in Washington on 21 September among them. The song will have more rooms before it has a full album stamp. One comment under the short already asked for the LP. That is the pressure after Sunflowers and Leather: each single reads as a chapter or as a stall. This one read as a chapter because the set already made space for it.
verd
He keeps the writing close. Multi-instrumentalist is the bio word. The Airstream is the workplace word. Don’t Feel Right is the weather word. The off feeling is the subject. The road is still the container.
