New York, May 1, 2026 — Washington Heights’ own Lord Sko has officially unleashed “Hangman”, the latest single produced by hip-hop heavyweight Statik Selektah. The track is available now on all major platforms, serving as the perfect lead single for their upcoming collaborative album Elevator Music, set to drop on May 15th.

Directed and edited by Uther Moon (with DP Noah Anderson), the official music video for “Hangman” captures raw NYC energy and Sko’s signature charismatic delivery. Statik Selektah’s production delivers that classic boom-bap backbone — dusty drums, soulful samples, and crisp scratches — while Lord Sko rides the beat with sharp lyricism, street storytelling, and effortless confidence.

This isn’t just another single — it’s the latest chapter in an ongoing creative partnership. Sko and Statik have already cooked up several standout joints together, and “Hangman” feels like the moment everything clicks.

Elevator Music is a full Statik Selektah-produced project, continuing the tradition of high-quality, cohesive LPs that the Boston-bred producer is known for. Early tracklist teases include:

“Wonder”
“How It Is”
“Hangman”
“PIFF” (and vinyl version)
“Machetes & Micheladas”
And more

Cover art by Slovenian artist @zgajnar.tijan gives it a distinct visual identity that matches the project’s elevated, moody vibe.

flow

At just 21 years old, Lord Sko (Josh Fersko) has quickly become one of New York’s most exciting underground-to-mainstream prospects. Hailing from Washington Heights, he blends ‘90s Golden Era nostalgia with modern edge — think vivid storytelling, witty punchlines, and a voice that feels both timeless and fresh. He’s already shared stages and tracks with names like Curren$y, Conway The Machine, and now fully links with Statik Selektah.

Previous projects like United Palace, PIFF, and various singles have built a dedicated cult following. With Roc Nation Distribution behind him and a clear love for real hip-hop, Sko is proving he’s built for the long run.
