The Shox NZ Comes Back In Patent Leather

Nike put Shox NZ back out as IV5704-901, listed Multicolor / Black / Multicolor. The pair is a black synthetic upper with a patent-like shine from the toe through the quarter and the heel. Four Shox columns sit under the rear. Foam midsole. Padded low collar. Rubber outsole. Laces, lining, and sole stay dark. Swoosh is black. Heel type that reads NIKE SHOX is the small mark.

NZ in the early 2000s used four columns at the heel and a sculpted overlay from instep to side. Shox TL spreads columns farther along the sole. This reprint keeps the NZ count: four at the back, space between the rods in side view, a last that climbs toward the heel.

Shox as a retail idea landed with R4 in 2000. Columns compress and return. The hardware is the design. Air Max shows a bag. Shox shows rods. IV5704-901 is that hardware under a black mirror.
