Five down styles from ¥29,700 to ¥49,500 go on sale November 17, with online pre-orders opening October 16.
The second collaboration between Ameri and NANGA goes on sale Tuesday, November 17, 2026, and it picks up where the first one stopped: Japanese down cut in a women’s sil, finished with menswear details. B STONE, the Tokyo company that runs Ameri, announced the lineup on October 9, and the press release lists five styles: a pocket coat and a reversible coat, each in a plain and a houndstooth version, plus a packable down jacket that works as a layer under other jackets.

Signal. What happened: B STONE announced on October 9, 2026 that Ameri’s second collision with down maker NANGA will go on sale November 17. Exact object: the NANGA x Ameri Pocket Down Coat and Pocket Houndstooth Down Coat (¥49,500 each), Reversible Down Coat and Reversible Houndstooth Down Coat (¥39,600 each), and 2Way Packable Down Jacket (¥29,700), all prices including tax. When and where: on sale Tuesday, November 17, 2026, with pre-orders from October 16 on the Ameri web store and later in-store pre-order windows at the Shinjuku and Nagoya Ameri Vintage stores, and no post-launch sales channels listed. Source: B STONE’s October 9, 2026 press release. Why it matters: it extends a pairing that began last November, carries first-round designs forward in updated colors, and adds a reversible coat and a packable inner layer to the range.
stir
The Pocket Down Coat and the Pocket Houndstooth Down Coat are the clearest carryovers from round one, priced at ¥49,500 each with tax. Both keep the build that defined the original: seven pockets, spindle toggles at the hem, hook and loop closures at the cuffs, and a detachable hood. B STONE’s release describes the result as menswear detailing translated into a feminine sil, and says the shell is a functional fabric that is waterproof and windproof.
The one fit change the release spells out is sizing. Starting with this collaboration, the L is cut roomier so that it works for men as well, though the release gives no measurements and does not say whether the other sizes changed.
Naming is the other small shift. Round one’s patterned pocket coat was called the Pocket Check Down Coat, and its fabric was described as water repellent and windproof, while the plain version’s was described as waterproof, windproof and water repellent. This season’s patterned version is named houndstooth, a broken check known in Japanese as chidori goshi, yet the rel text still refers to Ameri’s original check, so whether the pattern itself was redrawn is not clear from the announcement.
flow
The Reversible Down Coat and the Reversible Houndstooth Down Coat, ¥39,600 each, are short down coats with two faces. One side is quilted and the other carries large flap pockets, which lets the wearer change the coat’s look to suit the outfit. The release calls the fabric functional and water repellent, and frames the coat as a balance of design and warmth. Once tax is counted, it sits at the price the Wave coats occupied last year.
The 2Way Packable Down Jacket, ¥29,700, is the newcomer in function as much as in price. It is built from a thin down sheet, switches between a crew neck and a V-neck, and can be worn as outerwear or as a layer under another jacket. The release adds that it stows in a dedicated pack made from the same material, and presents it as the inner down that this round newly adds to the range.
Several details stay open. The rel says two of the five styles come in additional color variations but names no colors in its text, specifies neither fill power nor down origin, and does not list which first-round designs return beyond saying that the popular pieces carry over with updated colors. It also does not say where the coats are sewn: the only manufacturing claim is that the down is washed and refined in Japan. The pocket coats match round one by name and detailing. The Wave coats from round one, the rounded short coats with all-over wave stitching and detachable sleeves, do not appear in the new lineup.
say
Round one’s prices were announced before tax, at ¥45,000 for the pocket coats and ¥36,000 for the Wave coats in B STONE’s 2025 rel. This year’s rel quotes tax-inclusive figures. At Japan’s 10 percent consumption tax, ¥45,000 becomes ¥49,500 and ¥36,000 becomes ¥39,600, which are exactly this year’s pocket and reversible prices. The numbers on the new sheet read about 10 percent higher, but the two price tiers have not moved.
The packable jacket at ¥29,700 is the cheapest way into the range, ¥9,900 below the reversible coats and ¥19,800 below the pocket coats.
For scale, NANGA’s first collide with Saturdays NYC, released October 29 last year, priced a hooded, quilted down jacket at ¥69,300. That jacket used NANGA’s AURORA-TEX fabric and recycled 700 fill power down. The Ameri release names neither a fabric brand nor a fill power, so the comparison is one of price position only.
situation
Pre-orders open Friday, October 16 at noon on the Ameri web store and run until 6 p.m. on Friday, October 23. The Ameri Vintage Shinjuku store takes in-store pre-orders from October 18 to 20, and the Nagoya store follows from Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25.
Pre-order buyers receive double Ameri Miles, a perk the release lists alongside free shipping. The free shipping benefit covers web store orders only.
Round one’s pre-order run used the Osaka and Shinjuku stores alongside the web store, which means Nagoya takes Osaka’s place this time while Shinjuku stays.
extend
The company that became NANGA started in 1941 in Maibara, a Shiga Prefecture town known for Omi floss silk futon, as Yokota Sewing, a subcontract workshop stitching futon from that local material. Sleeping bags came next: OEM production for large domestic brands began in 1988, and in 1995 the company changed its name to NANGA.
The name comes from Nanga Parbat, the 8,126 meter Himalayan peak that is the ninth highest in the world and carries the nickname Man-Eating Mountain for the climbers it has claimed. B STONE’s releases explain the choice as a statement of attitude: take on the climb because it is hard, and go where others do not.
The defining technology arrived later. NANGA introduced its waterproof, breathable AURORA-TEX outer fabric in a sleeping bag in 1999 and released its first Aurora Down Jacket in 2003. Both Ameri releases lean on the same claim: the down is washed and refined in Japan, from washing through to finished product.
Growth followed the product. Tomoyuki Yokota, grandson of the first president, became the company’s third president in 2009, and NANGA SHOP TOKYO in Meguro, its first directly run shop, opened in 2015. A debut at the Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City came in 2017, production of some items began in Vietnam in 2019, and an in-house research unit, NANGA Mountain Laboratory, was set up in 2021. A Harajuku flagship followed in 2022, and by late 2023 the company ran eight directly operated shops in Japan. The calendar around the first Ameri release was crowded too, with WACKO MARIA and Engineered Garments among the other partners that season.
built
Ameri’s founder, Naoko Kuroishi, studied business at Ritsumeikan University and then joined a Tokyo apparel maker, where she handled visual merchandising for a brand aimed at women in their twenties. At 27, a friend who ran a used luxury goods business asked her to open a vintage shop. She built the brand around vintage pieces she bought herself, starting from savings of ¥300,000.

Ameri launched in 2014 as a web store, Ameri Vintage, selling its own label alongside vintage and imported pieces under the concept No Rules for Fashion. By a 2023 interview, annual sales had grown from ¥3 billion in 2019 to ¥4.4 billion in 2022, about 70 percent of sales came through e-commerce, and the brand ran four physical shops. A second Osaka shop at Lucua Osaka followed in March 2024.
Kuroishi has described Ameri as a label that does not make staples, so that new designs keep arriving and customers do not tire of the range, and she models the clothes herself in the label’s YouTube lookbooks. Round two carries some designs over on purpose: the pocket coat matches round one in name and detailing, and the release says items that were well received last time keep their designs with updated colors.
Partnerships with established names have become a pattern. The 2023 collaboration with Alpha Industries paired a reversible MA-1 style vest at ¥24,200, in exclusive khaki and black, with a lightweight M65 style overcoat at ¥35,200 that dropped the liner and hood. New Era followed with Ameri’s first collaboration in 2024, Converse with mixed-material All Stars the same year, and HUNTER with a Chelsea boot, a penny loafer and two nylon bags this May, sold through the Ameri web store, Ameri Vintage shops and two HUNTER locations. In mid-September 2025, Ameri also released seven inner layers built on Mizuno‘s Breath Thermo moisture-absorbing, heat-generating material. It ran a year of tenth-anniversary collaborations in 2024 as well. A reversible layer, then, has precedent in Ameri’s outerwear partnerships.
early
The first collection was announced on September 26, 2025, with four coats: the Pocket and Pocket Check coats, and the 2Way Wave and 2Way Wave Check coats. The Wave pair carried detachable sleeves, finger-hole cuffs, a collar that can be worn up or down, a shirred hem and side zips that change the sil.
The framing has shifted along with the calendar. The 2025 release presented the collection as something the two brands built from the ground up for the first time. The 2026 release presents it as a refinement: well-received designs carried over in new colors, plus an inner layer added. Its closing line credits both brands’ attention to detail.
The gap between announcement and release has shortened. Round one was announced 63 days before its November 28 launch; this year’s announcement came 39 days before November 17.
The first collection went on sale on Friday, November 28, 2025. The second arrives on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, eleven days short of a full year later.
