- Why JayDon? Embodying a Dialogue of Culture
A BATHING APE® (BAPE®) has unveiled “Timeless Culture” as the theme for its Fall/Winter 2026 collection. Rather than presenting another seasonal lineup, the brand positions the collection as a statement of identity—one that explores how cultures intersect to create something entirely new.
The collection is built around three central pillars: music, sports, and art. While each chapter stands independently, together they form a unified narrative. By combining Japanese craftsmanship with the spirit of American vintage, BAPE® revisits the values that have defined the brand since its founding while exploring new creative possibilities for FW26.
This season’s concept revolves around creating a dialogue between tradition and rebellion. Workwear, military influences, and classic streetwear converge into a single visual language. Structured tailoring meets free expression, while archive-inspired references coexist with contemporary design sensibilities. Through unexpected layering, bold pattern combinations, and contrasting aesthetics, the collection introduces fresh styling possibilities born from opposing ideas working together.

The FW26 collection will receive an early online release on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM via BAPE.COM.

flow
Music has always been foundational to street culture, and the FW26 chapter “MUSIC – STREET RHYTHM REDEFINED” channels the energy of 1990s hip-hop into expressive contemporary silhouettes.
Leading the chapter are two signature graphics: HYBRID CAMO and SPLASH CAMO.
HYBRID CAMO reconstructs five of BAPE®’s iconic camouflage patterns through a cut-and-mix approach, transforming familiar camouflage into something entirely new through bold color palettes and abstract layered compositions.
SPLASH CAMO, meanwhile, draws inspiration from graffiti culture, incorporating subtle APE HEAD motifs throughout the design.
The collection also introduces CROC PATTERN, inspired by the luxurious textures often associated with hip-hop culture. Combined with patchwork detailing, the pattern creates refined visual contrast alongside workwear-inspired construction and richly textured materials.
Additional highlights include cropped silhouettes, tailored outerwear finished with fur accents, and a balance between architectural structure and soft textures, reinforcing the collection’s central dialogue between heritage and modernity.

The chapter “SPORTS – PERFORMANCE IN MOTION” merges technical sportswear functionality with contemporary everyday dressing.
Inspired by American football and ice hockey culture, the collection reinterprets team graphics and collegiate motifs through street-oriented silhouettes.
At its center is STA STRIKE CAMO, an evolved camouflage pattern emphasizing structured graphics and dynamic visual composition. Built around vivid blue, red, and white colorways inspired by vintage sportswear palettes, the pattern appears across technical outerwear, layered styling, and functional garments that strike a balance between athletic performance and lifestyle aesthetics.

The collection concludes with “ART – JAPANESE HERITAGE REIMAGINED,” a chapter centered on craftsmanship and Japanese artistic heritage.
Souvenir jackets, premium denim, and handcrafted detailing define the collection, blending traditional techniques with contemporary tailoring to create new interpretations of classic design.
A standout graphic is the PAISLEY PATTERN, reimagined through layered compositions and updated color combinations that elevate the traditional motif into a bold contemporary statement.
Across denim and outerwear, refined construction highlights both craftsmanship and individuality. Together, these pieces represent a timeless approach to design where innovation grows from respect for tradition.
new
The women’s collection follows the same three-chapter framework of Music, Sports, and Art.
The MUSIC chapter, titled “EXPRESSIVE ENERGY,” transforms the spirit of 1990s music culture into sophisticated contemporary styling through bold graphics and sculptural silhouettes.
The SPORT chapter, “CONFIDENT MOTION,” takes inspiration from football, ice hockey, and winter sports while introducing dynamic layering using BAPE® CAMO lace details alongside cropped silhouettes.
Newly introduced STA MONOGRAM CAMO delivers another bold graphic designed for versatile layered styling.
Within the ART chapter, “REFINED HERITAGE,” souvenir jackets receive updated tailoring while patchwork and crochet details soften traditional craftsmanship with contemporary refinement.
The collection also introduces NEW PATTERNS – SOFT EXPRESSION.
MILOGRAM SWEETS PATTERN updates the archival OG MILOGRAM design with strawberry motifs and pastel color palettes.
LISA MILO STA PATTERN combines BABY LISA and MILO STA through soft outlines alongside star motifs and BAPE STA™ design elements to create a playful new print.
extent
The children’s collection interprets the adult themes through “MUSIC – PLAY STREET ENERGY” and “SPORT – ACTIVE ATTITUDE.”
HYBRID CAMO, SPLASH CAMO, and STA STRIKE CAMO appear across hoodies, coordinated sets, and outerwear designed to balance comfort, durability, and everyday practicality.
One of the season’s highlights is BABY MILO®’s “DINOSAUR PLAYGROUND.”
Built around the story of BABY MILO® venturing into a prehistoric world filled with dinosaurs, the collection incorporates seasonal materials including sherpa fleece, knitwear, and soft jacquard fleece.
Dinosaur-inspired graphics extend beyond apparel into accessories such as keychains, expanding the collection’s playful storytelling into everyday styling.

Representing the dialogue between cultures at the center of this campaign is R&B artist JayDon (JD McCrary).
Known for his work across music, performance, and film—including voicing young Simba in The Lion King (2019)—JayDon became part of Mega, the label led by Usher and L.A. Reid, in 2025.
His natural confidence, rhythmic presence, and multidisciplinary creativity embody a new generation where sound, movement, and personal style merge into a unified identity.
Within a collection built around music, sports, and art, JayDon serves as more than a celebrity ambassador. His casting reinforces the very narrative BAPE® seeks to communicate—a conversation between creative disciplines expressed through contemporary street culture.
