Garmin has been dominating the running market for over 20 years, with the Forerunner series long regarded as the “people’s running watch.” On May 12, 2026, Garmin officially unveiled the new Forerunner 70 and Forerunner 170 GPS smartwatches. Breaking away from the high-barrier image of advanced running watches, these models adopt the mantra “If you can’t run, walking is fine too,” making them ideal for beginners entering the running world or anyone looking to build healthy exercise habits.
