DRIFT

Three gen release colors and a fourth limited to select stockists arrive Friday, July 24, priced at 25,300 yen.

Mizuno is putting out four new colorways of its Wave Prophecy 13.2 on Friday, July 24, the same sil the brand has been quietly stacking colorways onto all year without much fanfare outside Japan’s own fashion press. Three of them, a grey with black and purple, a white with black and orange, and a dark grey with white and orange, will sell through select Mizuno directly run stores, Mizuno stockists, and Mizuno’s own online store. The fourth, a charcoal paired with white and orange, is being held back for a narrower release: select Mizuno stores, the retailer BILLY’S ENT, and Mizuno’s online store only, with no wider stockist distribution.

Pricing sits at 25,300 yen across the board, consistent with where Mizuno has kept the Wave Prophecy 13.2 line since it launched as a street facing remake of the brand’s show running sil. Nobody at Mizuno has said outright why four colors are landing in one window rather than the usual staggered one or two, but the timing lines up with a busier than usual stretch for the Wave franchise generally, more on that below.

The exact SKU breakdown for each of the four colors was not published alongside the announcement, so this piece treats the three general release colors and the one limited tincture as they were described rather than assigning specific style numbers to each. Anyone trying to track down a specific pair by SKU alone should expect some trial and error at retail until individual listings go live.

The Wave Prophecy 13.2 takes the Wave Prophecy 13 running shoe as its starting point and reworks it for wear off the track rather than on it. Mizuno kept the organic printed upper that has defined the silhouette since the original Wave Prophecy 13, but revised the detailing around the heel and tongue and swapped in a more sport styled version of the brand’s logo across the shoe.

Underneath, the shoe keeps Mizuno’s Infinity Wave sole unit, the brand’s own construction built from two overlapping wave shaped plates that stack cushioning and stability into one piece rather than relying purely on foam. It’s the same sole architecture found across the broader Wave Prophecy family, including the more overtly performance focused Wave Prophecy 14 still sold through Mizuno’s running lineup, and it’s part of why the 13.2 has been positioned as a shoe that reads more architectural than most lifestyle sneakers built from a running shoe base.

The Wave Prophecy 13.2 line has moved through a steady run of colorways since the start of the year, including a light grey and light yellow pairing, a black and white release, and a black colorway that arrived earlier in 2026. Friday’s four color drop is the largest single batch of new colorways the model has seen in one release window this year, and it lands alongside a separate Mizuno release the same week: a limited edition tied to the brand’s 30th anniversary Wave Rider running shoe, a signal that the brand is treating late July as a broader moment for the Wave franchise rather than a single isolated drop.

The three general release colors go up for sale Friday, July 24, through Mizuno’s own storefronts, its network of stockists, and its official online store. The limited charcoal, white, and orange colorway follows the same date but through a tighter set of doors: select Mizuno locations, BILLY’S ENT, and the Mizuno online store, with nothing suggesting a broader release is planned for that particular color once initial stock runs out. Mizuno has not indicated whether any of the four colors will restock in the weeks following release.
