DRIFT

Eva Unit-01’s TV-era battle scars anchor a six-piece drop that also finds room for Lilith, a Genesis LaserDisc stole, and a distressed mass-production cap.

EVANGELION:95, the apparel line built directly out of Neon Genesis Evangelion’s archive of TV-series and film frame-grabs, opens its second autumn/winter delivery on August 21. It lands two weeks after the season’s first drop, which arrived August 7 built around scenes lifted from the 1997 film The End of Evangelion and its accompanying Rufuran no Tamashii single. The 2nd Drop keeps that same visual logic, pulling from both the original TV broadcast and Evangelion: Death (True)² / Air / The End of Evangelion, but shifts the emphasis toward piece meant to actual survive a cold Tokyo autumn rather than just carry a graphic.

The line is produced under RADIO EVA, the official Evangelion apparel project that has run EVANGELION:95 as its flagship label since its earliest capsule seasons. Sales open simultaneous through the EVANGELION:95 official online store and RADIO EVA STORE, the label’s physical outpost inside Shibuya PARCO, which has become the label’s default seasonal launch point for both online and walk-in traffic.

Four Tee carry the bulk of the drop, and each pulls from a different corner of the franchise’s view catalog rather than repeat a single hero image across colorway. The EVA0102 T-Shirt (¥26,400) reworks a TV-series battle sequence centered on Unit-01, the kind of mid-series combat still that has anchored EVANGELION:95 graphic tees since the label’s early season. The EVA0104 T-Shirt (¥24,200) shifts focus to the show’s female cast, assemble a graphic built around the series’ women rather than its mecha combat, a frame the brand has use spare compare to its Unit-01 and Rei-centric output. The EVA0106 T-Shirt (¥26,400) goes further into the show’s theology, building its print around Lilith, the towering, crucified entity housed in Terminal Dogma and central to the series’ Second Impact backstory, a figure that shows up far less often in EVANGELION:95’s back catalog than the show’s four pilots. Round out the shirt, the EVA0107 Tee (¥24,200) returns to The End of Evangelion, this time isolating a Third Impact frame rather than the Rufuran single artwork the 1st Drop had already worked through.

The pricing sits consistent with where EVANGELION:95 has position its graphic tees all season, the ¥24,200 to ¥26,400 range reflecting the label’s print-heavy, small-batch construction rather than a mass-retail Tee cost. None of the four graphics repeats a print used in the August 7 delivery, keeping the two drops visually distinct despite launching two weeks apart inside the same season.

Where the shirts mine screen-used footage, the drop’s two accessory pieces reach into Evangelion’s physical media history instead. The EVA0120 Stole (¥16,500) reproduces the jacket design from Genesis 0:12, one installment in the LaserDisc series that carried the show’s original home-video release in Japan long before DVD or streaming existed. It is a deep-catalog reference, the kind of artifact more likely to register with collectors who owned the physical discs than with viewers who came to the franchise through a later re-release, and it fits a pattern EVANGELION:95 has leaned on before, treating packaging and print ephemera as source material on equal footing with the animation itself.

The EVA0124 Cap (¥16,500) takes a more combat-facing angle, applying a distressed, damage-worked treatment to a silhouette styled after the Evangelion Mass Production Units, the pale, disquieting units introduced late in The End of Evangelion. The deliberate wear pattern reads as a design choice rather than a manufacturing defect, positioning the cap closer to the label’s damage-treated outerwear than its cleaner graphic accessory.

Both pieces round out a drop built for the transitional stretch between summer and full winter layering, a stole and a worn-in cap sitting alongside four tees rather than the heavier fleece or outerwear that typically shows up later in an EVANGELION:95 autumn/winter run.

hint

The 2nd Drop follows a delivery cadence EVANGELION:95 has kept consistent across recent seasons, with the label’s 2025 autumn/winter run have move through five separate drops between August and October rather than rel a season in one batch. That pattern points to at least a few more deliveries still to come before the 26AW season closes out, though EVANGELION:95 has not detailed specific dates or lineups beyond the August 21 release.

The full lineup, including any additional colorways or sizing not detail in the initial announcement, is viewable on EVANGELION:95’s own 26AW category page. Both the Tee and accessories go on sale August 21 through the label’s official online store and through RADIO EVA STORE inside Shibuya PARCO.
